Domestic Violence

Community Forum

Pop In’s initiatives extend beyond art. We are convening a Southern Highlands Domestic Violence Community Forum during the 16 Days of Activism. The community forum will deepen the community’s understanding of the complex issues faced by women and children navigating Domestic and Family Violence.

The Forum will be facilitated by Deborah Richards who will lead the discussion with a range of panellists including:

• Katie Burreket - Director at Broun Abrahams Burreket, Family Lawyers.

• Pauline Carrigan, Community Leader who has developed a whole of community response to address a major issue facing her local community.

• Carolyn Doherty - CEO of Argyle Housing.

• Representation from the Men’s Behavioural Change program.

• Representation from people with lived experience.

The Forum will be held at The Bradman Museum theatre on Wednesday December 4, 2024, from 9.30 am to 12.30pm and will include a short break for morning tea.
